Hangtight is an AI-powered social planning app that empowers Residential Advisors / Residential Assistants (RAs) to efficiently plan events, schedule one-on-one meetings, and send announcements to their residents. One of the core features of Hangtight is the ability to create "Circles," which serve as dedicated spaces for communication and coordination. In this guide, we guide you through the process of creating Circles in the Hangtight App, enabling you to enhance your resident engagement and communication.
At its core, university RAs bring new college students together at a major life transition event as young adults. This group naturally comes together on a recurring basis for planned activities, often on a weekly and monthly cadence. This dynamic also enables residents to build relationships with people who may become their most important friends in life. Moreover, building new relationships at a stage where life is full of unexpected events is critical. It's why Hangtight helps RAs to build tight-knit communities and foster connection early on in college. Hangtight also helps residents connect with students in other relevant Circles and student groups on the app. Here is why RAs find Hangtight invaluable for their communities:
If you haven't already, download the Hangtight mobile app from your device's app store. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the sign-up process, which involves providing your name, email address, and creating a secure password.
Once you have successfully signed up and logged in, you'll be greeted with the Hangtight interface. To create a Circle, follow these steps:
Now that you've accessed the Circles menu, follow these steps to create a new Circle:
a. Circle Name: Enter a name for your Circle. This should be a clear and descriptive name that helps residents understand the purpose of the Circle (e.g., "Garber Hall 3rd Floor")
b. Description: Provide a brief description of the Circle. This description should highlight what residents can expect within the Circle, such as event planning, announcements, and questions
c. Save Your Changes: After entering the Circle name and description, save your changes - your Circle is now created!
To make your Circle active and engaging, you'll need to invite residents. Hangtight provides multiple options for inviting residents:
With your Circle created and residents invited, you can now start planning your first event. Hangtight offers a feature called Flashparse for event planning, making it easy to organize and coordinate activities. Ensure that residents link their calendars to have upcoming events seamlessly integrated into their schedules.
With Circles in Hangtight, you have a powerful tool to enhance your resident engagement and communication. By following these steps, you can create a welcoming and efficient space for your residents to connect, plan, and stay informed about the exciting events and activities you have in store for them.
